Lampwork Glass Bead Making Class

Enjoy a fun morning out learning the basics of how glass beads are made.

Witness beautiful art glass beads being created before your very eyes.

Try your hand at making a bead or two.

Whether you love making things, admire the artistry of glass beads or just enjoy finding out how things are made, this workshop is for you.

What You Will Do

In this lampwork glass bead making class you will be guided in the use of artisan techniques and use gorgeous coloured glass to make your own unique glass beads.

Alongside learning to wrap molten glass around a mandrel you will also learn how to shape beads, pull thin stringers of coloured glass and use these to decorate your bead with a dot pattern.

The workshop starts with an overview and demonstration, which enables you to gain an insight into the tools and techniques you will be using. Each participant will then be given the opportunity to have a go at making their own glass beads.

Throughout the workshop you will be given full support to ensure you get the most from your time.

The beads that you make are yours to take home and proudly show off to your friends.

Number of Participants

Workshops are small and friendly with a maximum of 4 per workshop. This allows you to receive plenty of individual attention. As a result you will gain a better understanding of the techniques.

Additionally, there are no minimum numbers – if you have made the time in your diary & secured your booking, I will run the workshop regardless of numbers.
