NEWS - There’s been heaps of bubble wrap in the

NEWS - There’s been heaps of bubble wrap in the studio recently. Not to mention a huge amount of work.

Which means the studio is on the move!!

The Realestate agent wasn’t very impressed with the idea of trying to sell a house with a studio. So I’ve had to transform it significantly 😂

Sadly, whilst the move happens I won’t be able to run any workshops (other than those already booked).

I will keep you updated with the move - which happens in September - and will reopen the new studio for you as soon as I possibly can.

WORKSHOPS - I love how the colour of each pair of earrings suits their creator so well. Zoom in to see for yourself.

Oh and I just received this message from this lovely group of ladies following yesterday’s workshop ...

“I just wanted to say a huge thank you for a wonderful class today. The girls and I all had a ball being creative and learning a small part of your fabulous craft.

We all love our earrings and bead colour choices and especially our time creating them.

You are so great at explaining each step and the results are amazing.

TIP OF THE DAY - it might sound obvious, but make

TIP OF THE DAY - it might sound obvious, but make sure you can see 👀what you’re doing.

In the studio I have a range of specialist jeweller’s loupes with varying degrees of magnification. These all help me to see the minute details of a piece.

Whilst you might not have such specialist eye wear, there’s always glasses 😃

This might sound like stating the obvious, but a pair of glasses with good magnification really can make all the difference.

I’m by no means a specialist in this area, but I’ve found that having a cheap pair of glasses with marginally HIGHER magnification than I normally use works great for making jewellery 😃

WORKSHOPS - A pretty collection of Glass Dangle Earrings made by three lovely ladies at this weekend’s workshop.

They had lots of fun learning how to make wrapped loops along with their own elegant handmade ear wires.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY - when we were very little learning used to be fun.

Then as we progressed through our formal education learning became more serious and work related.

I’ve always said that learning makes life interesting. It doesn’t always have to be work, but just for fun.
